November is a very heartwarming season. It is also the “Month of Thanksgiving” here at SVCA. Praise the Lord! Let us offer our thanksgiving to God through these 30 Bible passages - one passage a day. This year’s Thanksgiving Bible passages are inspired by our annual theme - "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Cor. 3:17b).” Let's submit to the Work of the Holy Spirit through these passages. Let’s experience the mighty power of the Holy Spirit in our corporate service and personal lives. He is able to deliver, anoint, heal, renew, and change us, so that we can live a Spirit-filled life full of freedom and abundance.

Month of Thanksgiving - Day 7

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

The Bible says in today's passages that "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you". These three exhortations - rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in everything - are not just good advice; they are God's will for every Christian. Even they are not the totality of God's will, they are a clear and important segment of it.

God wants us to be intentional about our thankfulness every day. He wants us to develop this spiritual habit. The truth is, the more deeply you understand the fact that God works everything together for good for those who love Him (Rom. 8:28), the more grateful you’re going to be. We can thank God in every circumstance because we trust that God is in control. He can bring good out of evil. He can turn around the stupid mistakes we’ve made. Being thankful in all circumstances is God’s will because it builds a deeper relationship between you and God.

Do we really want to walk according to God's will daily? Let's begin with joy, prayer and thanksgiving in every circumstance!
